Sushant & Sakshi's story
It all began with a simple text message, just a quick question that turned into a long conversation we never wanted to end. Funny thing is, we went to the same college for three years and never really spoke back then. Five years later, one random message changed everything.
From the moment we started talking, it just clicked. Conversations flowed easily, and before we knew it, we met and felt like we’d known each other forever. There wasn’t much overthinking or hesitation, deep down we both just knew this was it.
Sushant (26) and Sakshi (25) — two Maharashtrians who share the same love for Ganpati Bappa, good food, and the simple, peaceful things in life.
We’re celebrating our love with a traditional Maharashtrian wedding, full of the customs we grew up with and cherish deeply. Expect vibrant energy, amazing Indian food, music that makes you move, and the beauty of nature all around.
We can’t wait to celebrate this special day with all of you!

Marathi Wedding Rituals & Ceremonies
The celebration begins with traditional Maharashtrian rituals that mark the sacred union of the couple. These include 'Pheras' where the bride and groom walk around the holy fire, symbolizing their vows and 'Kanyadan', when the bride’s parents give her hand to the groom, blessing their new beginning. You’ll see customs, chanting of mantras, and a beautiful mix of devotion and joy.
Mangalashtaka & Varmala Ceremony
The 'Mangalashtaka', a series of sacred Marathi verses sung while the couple exchanges garlands. It’s a deeply symbolic and emotional moment, believed to tie their souls together for life. The 'Varmala' (garland exchange) follows, where the bride and groom lovingly place floral garlands on each other, a gesture of acceptance and respect. Expect music, laughter, and a lot of happy faces!
The Grand Reception & Dinner
The final celebration is the wedding reception, a lively evening filled with Indian music, delicious cuisine, and dancing. It’s the perfect way to unwind after the rituals, meet family and friends, enjoy authentic Indian food, and celebrate love the Indian way under the stars.
