Mehendi Ceremony
The Mehendi Ceremony is a joyful pre-wedding ritual celebrated in Indian weddings, especially in North Indian and Punjabi traditions. It is a vibrant event filled with music, dance, and colors, where the bride's hands and feet are adorned with intricate henna (mehendi) designs. Venue and Decor: The event is often hosted at the bride's home or a decorated outdoor space, adorned with vibrant colors, floral arrangements, and traditional elements. The Mehendi Application: A skilled mehendi artist applies detailed patterns on the bride’s hands and feet. Popular designs include paisleys, flowers, and symbols of love. The groom's name or initials are often hidden in the design as a fun tradition. Music and Dance: Family and friends gather to sing folk songs, play music, and dance, creating a lively and festive atmosphere. Attire: Shades of green, yellow, or orange, symbolizing fertility and happiness

Haldi Ceremony
The Haldi Ceremony is one of the most cherished and traditional pre-wedding rituals in Indian culture. It is celebrated with great enthusiasm by the families of both the bride and the groom. Known for its vibrant and joyous atmosphere, the Haldi ceremony symbolizes purification, blessings, and protection as the couple prepares for their marital journey. Turmeric is also used as a natural cosmetic to give the couple a glowing complexion on their wedding day. The Ceremony 1. Turmeric Paste Preparation: The paste is made by mixing turmeric powder with rose water, sandalwood, milk, or other natural ingredients. 2. Application of Haldi: Close family members and friends apply the Haldi paste to the bride and groom’s face, arms, hands, and feet. The remaining Haldi is sometimes applied to unmarried siblings or friends, as it is believed to bring them good luck in finding their life partner. The Haldi ceremony often includes traditional songs, music, and dance.
Reception Ceremony
The Reception Ceremony is organized to honor the newlyweds and introduce them as a married couple to extended family, friends, and well-wishers. Significance of the Reception Ceremony 1. Celebration of the Union: It marks the official beginning of the couple's married life and serves as a public introduction of the bride and groom as life partners. 2. Social Gathering: The reception allows both families to meet and mingle with extended relatives and friends who may not have attended the wedding. 3. Expression of Gratitude: The couple and their families use this event to thank everyone for their blessings and support during the wedding festivities.

Wedding Ceremony
Kashi Yatra- In this ritual, the groom, dressed in panjakatsham, pretends to renounce worldly life and head to Kashi for spiritual pursuits. The bride’s father stops him, persuading him to marry his daughter. Kannikadanam & Mangalyadaranam- The bride’s father welcomes the groom with a Padapuja. The bride joins the groom at the mandap, where he ties the mangalya around her neck. This act, accompanied by Nadaswaram music, signifies their union, with the three knots representing Brahma, Vishnu, and Rudra. Nalangu- The couple engages in playful activities, playing games like finding a ring in a pot, symbolizing fun and camaraderie in their new life together. Evening Change The bride and groom exchange garlands, signifying the union of their souls. Saptapadi- They walk seven steps around the sacred fire, taking vows of lifelong companionship. Swing- Ceremony The couple sits on a swing, symbolizing the ups and downs of married life, with women performing Drishti to ward off evil.
