Dr Adithya & Dr Nikitha's story
Hello everyone!
We are beyond excited to share our journey with U as we step into this new chapter of our lives. Our story began almost a decade ago when we met during our college days.What started as a simple friendship soon turned into something more profound & over the past nine years,our bond has only grown stronger. Both of us are Ayurvedic doctors, passionate abt the world of healing and wellness. Through our journey 2gether, We’ve celebrated achievements,faced challenges & stood by each other through every high & low.
Now, as we get ready to embark on dz beautiful journey of marriage, we are bringing close not just our hearts but also our cultures.Our wedding will be a unique blend of traditions—Nikitha’s vibrant Marathi customs & Adithya’s Brahmin rituals, creating a rare & beautiful fusion of cultures.

Varapooja
Varapooja is a pre-wedding ritual in South Indian and Marathi weddings, performed to honor and welcome the groom. It is conducted at the wedding venue before the main ceremony. The groom and his family are received with traditional aarti, and the bride’s family performs a small puja to invoke blessings for a smooth and auspicious wedding. The groom is given new clothes, and elders bless him for a happy married life. This ritual symbolizes respect and gratitude towards the groom and his family.
Reception

Guests can expect a warm welcome, delightful music, and a lavish feast featuring a mix of traditional and contemporary cuisines. It will be a night of joy, conversations, and togetherness, creating memories to last a lifetime.

Baraath
Baraat – 16th April
Get ready for an energetic and fun-filled Baraat as we celebrate the groom’s arrival in style! With lively music, dancing, and joyful celebrations, this procession marks the beginning of our big day.
Ganesh Pooja and milni
Ganesh Puja & Milni – 16th April
Following the Baraat, the wedding celebrations begin with Ganesh Puja, seeking Lord Ganesha’s blessings for a harmonious and prosperous marriage. This is followed by Milni, a heartwarming ritual where both families formally meet, exchange garlands, and embrace, symbolizing unity and mutual respect. It’s a beautiful moment of love and togetherness before the main wedding rituals commence!
Kanyadaan
Kanyadaan – 16th April
Kanyadaan is one of the most sacred rituals of the wedding, where the bride’s parents lovingly give their daughter’s hand to the groom, entrusting him with her happiness and well-being. It signifies the union of two souls and families, with blessings for a life filled with love, respect, and prosperity. This heartfelt moment marks the beginning of the couple’s journey together.
Varamala
Varamala – 16th April
The Varamala ceremony is a joyful and symbolic exchange of garlands between the bride and groom, signifying their acceptance of each other as life partners. Amidst cheers, laughter, and playful moments, this ritual marks the beginning of their new journey together, surrounded by love and celebration.
Havan and Dhaare
Havan & Dhara – 16th April
The Havan is a sacred fire ritual where Vedic mantras are chanted to invoke divine blessings for a harmonious and prosperous married life. The couple makes offerings into the holy fire, symbolizing purity and commitment.
In Dhara, the bride’s father pours sacred water (or milk) into the groom’s hands, signifying the continuous flow of love, trust, and responsibility in their marriage. These rituals mark the spiritual foundation of their union.
Mangalya Dhaaran
Mangalya Dharanam – 16th April
The Mangalya Dharanam is the most significant moment of the wedding, where the groom ties the sacred mangalasutra around the bride’s neck, symbolizing their eternal bond, love, and commitment. With each knot, he promises to protect and cherish her for life. As mantras are chanted and blessings are bestowed, this ritual marks the official union of the couple as husband and wife.
Saptapadi
Saptapadi – 16th April
The Saptapadi, or Seven Steps, is a sacred ritual where the bride and groom take seven symbolic steps around the holy fire, each representing a vow for their married life. These steps signify their commitment to love, trust, respect, prosperity, happiness, and lifelong companionship. With each step, they promise to stand by each other in all aspects of life, marking the foundation of their journey together as husband and wife.
