About the hosts
Rhittik & Surabhi's story
I met Rhittik on a Google Meet. We were colleagues — just faces on a screen at first, exchanging work updates and polite smiles. I never imagined that a simple meeting would change my life forever. But something about him stood out. He was calm, kind, and had this quiet way of making me feel heard — even through a screen. Slowly, work chats turned into personal conversations, late-night calls, laughter, and comfort. And before we knew it, we were in a long-distance relationship — holding on to each other across cities, time zones, and all the little challenges that came with it. It wasn’t easy. There were days when I missed him more than words could say. But his love never made me feel alone — even in the distance. Now, we’re counting down the days to our wedding on 4th March 2026. It still feels surreal that someone I met on a random Google Meet is going to be my forever. But that’s love — it finds you when you least expect it… and if it’s real, it stays.

Lots of music, fun, flower jewellery, and a feast follow. The groom may have his own holud ceremony too. At marriage, Groom arrives in a grand procession (bor jatri) and is welcomed by the bride’s family. Bride circles the groom seven times (saat paak) and they exchange glances (shubho drishti) and garlands (mala bodol). Wedding rituals include kanyadaan, sindoor daan, and shankha-pola wearing. The ceremony ends with a wedding feast and celebrations.
