Held a day before the wedding, this vibrant ceremony is all about love, blessings, and generosity. The maternal uncle arrives with gifts, clothes, jewelry, sweets, and money for the bride/groom and their family. It symbolizes support and affection from the maternal side, historically ensuring the daughter received financial backing during her wedding. The event is grand, with separate invitations, elaborate décor, and festive music, showcasing the family’s joy and status.
