Rishabh & Anshika's story
This is a classic Indian arranged marriage, where the families introduce the bride and groom, and the celebration brings two families together. If you've only seen Indian weddings in Bollywood movies, here's your chance to experience one in real life!
Our Punjabi wedding is a multi-day celebration filled with music, dancing, amazing food, and unforgettable traditions. You'll experience Haldi (a joyful turmeric ceremony), Mehendi (beautiful henna art), Joota Churaai (a fun tradition where the bride's family steals the groom's shoes for a playful ransom), and the sacred Pheras, where the couple takes seven vows around the holy fire.
Our family loves welcoming guests and sharing our culture. If you'd like to know what to expect, feel free to message me—I can even share videos from recent family weddings.
Come as a guest, leave as family. We'd love to celebrate with you!

Get ready for one of the most exciting nights of an Indian wedding—the Sangeet! This is where everyone, from grandparents to little kids, takes over the dance floor. Expect energetic Bollywood performances, vibrant Punjabi folk dances, and plenty of moments where guests are pulled in to dance too—no experience required!
The night comes alive with the powerful beats of the traditional dhol (a Punjabi drum) that make it almost impossible to stand still. Along with the music, enjoy a delicious spread of authentic Indian food, refreshing drinks, and a festive atmosphere filled with laughter, celebration, and endless energy.

Mehandi (Henna)
The Mehendi ceremony is one of the most colorful and heartwarming celebrations of an Indian wedding. It's a relaxed afternoon where the bride, family members, friends, and guests have beautiful henna (mehendi) designs applied to their hands by skilled artists. Whether you choose a simple pattern or an intricate design, it's a lovely keepsake from the celebration.
One of the most special parts of this event is that women from our neighborhood, along with family and friends, come together to sing traditional Punjabi wedding songs, clap along to the rhythm, and dance with infectious joy. It's a beautiful glimpse into our community, where generations celebrate together with music, laughter, delicious food, and plenty of conversations.
If you'd like to experience the warmth of an authentic Indian family gathering, the Mehendi ceremony is the perfect place to start!
Haldi
Welcome to the most fun (and messiest!) event of the wedding—the Haldi ceremony! Traditionally, family and friends apply a fragrant turmeric paste to the bride and groom as a blessing for good luck, happiness, and a glowing new beginning. But in a Punjabi wedding, that's just the beginning!
Get ready for an explosion of color as everyone joins an epic flower shower, tossing vibrant petals into the air while Bollywood and Punjabi beats take over. Within minutes, the ceremony transforms into a full-blown dance party filled with laughter, music, crazy dance moves, endless photos, and unforgettable memories. Don't be surprised if someone pulls you into the celebration—standing still is almost impossible!
If you're looking to experience the joyful, carefree spirit of an Indian wedding, this is the event you won't want to miss!

The grand finale is finally here—the Wedding Day! This is where centuries-old traditions, vibrant celebrations, and unforgettable emotions come together.
The groom arrives with his family in the lively Baraat, a wedding procession filled with dancing, music, and the thunderous beats of the traditional Punjabi dhol. Once the celebrations begin, the couple takes the sacred Pheras—seven walks around the holy fire, each representing a promise they'll keep throughout their married life.
After the ceremony, it's time for a spectacular Punjabi wedding reception! Expect an incredible feast featuring authentic Indian cuisine, lively music, endless dancing, and an atmosphere where everyone celebrates together. Whether you're dancing with strangers, trying delicious new dishes, or witnessing traditions you've never seen before, you'll be part of a once-in-a-lifetime cultural experience.
