Wedding Rituals:
Bor Jatri: The groom's procession,known as the Bor Jatri,is an event filled with music & dance.Friends & family accompany the groom to bride's house.
Bor Boron: Upon the groom's arrival at the bride's house,the bride's mother welcomes to the wedding venue.
Saat Paak & Subho Drishti: The bride,seated on a wooden stool,is carried by her brothers around the groom 7 times,known as Saat Paak.Signifying their acceptance of each other.
Mala Badal: In this ritual,the bride & groom exchange garlands,symbolizing their mutual acceptance & respect.
Sampradan: The bride's father performs the Sampradan,where he gives away the bride to the groom,entrusting her to his care,a poignant moment,marking the beginning of a new chapter in the bride's life.
Yagna & Saptapadi: The couple sits in front of the sacred fire & takes 7 vows as they walk around the fire together.
Sindoor Daan: The groom applies sindoor to the bride's forehead,signifying her status as a married woman.
