Samarth & Radha's story
We are so excited to share our journey with you all! Our love story began back in 2016, during our college days. From the first moment we met, there was an instant connection — a beautiful friendship that blossomed into something much deeper. Over the years, we supported each other through studies, career beginnings, and life's many adventures. Now, after 9 wonderful years together, our bond is stronger than ever. We still love each other with the same excitement and passion we felt on day one — maybe even more, as we have grown together through every season of life. Today, we are ready to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by love, laughter, and the people who mean the most to us. We would be honored and overjoyed to have you join us on our special day, to witness the beginning of our forever. Your presence would truly make our wedding even more meaningful! We can't wait to celebrate with you.

Engagement and Haldi
Turmeric (Haldi) Paste is Applied: Family and friends apply a mixture of turmeric, sandalwood, rose water, and sometimes a bit of oil or milk onto the bride’s and groom’s face, neck, hands, and feet. Turmeric is considered very auspicious — it brings good luck, wards off evil, and makes the skin glow naturally before the wedding! It often turns into a super fun moment — guests and cousins don’t just lightly apply it, they start smearing, teasing, laughing, and sometimes chasing the bride or groom around. Elders give their blessings for a happy and prosperous married life while applying the haldi. In many weddings, women sing folk songs (sometimes teasing songs about the bride/groom) and everyone dances. Some families even have a little dhol (drum) or music system to make it lively. Usually, the bride and groom wear simple clothes, often in yellow or white. It’s usually a smaller, cozy ceremony with close family and friends.

Wedding
Ganapati Puja: Worship of Lord Ganesha for blessings and to remove obstacles. Arrival of Groom (Jaanavasam / Baraat Style): The groom arrives in a procession, sometimes on a horse or decorated car, with music and family dancing. Kanyadaanam (Giving Away the Bride): The bride’s parents give her hand to the groom, symbolizing trust and blessings. The most important moment where the groom ties the mangalsutra (sacred wedding necklace) around the bride’s neck. The cloth separating the bride and groom falls, they exchange garlands, and officially become husband and wife. The couple takes seven steps around the holy fire, each step representing a promise they make to each other. Fun part where the bride and groom pour rice mixed with turmeric over each other's heads like a blessing! After the wedding, there’s a grand meal (served traditionally on banana leaves) with lots of dishes like sambar, rasam, payasam (sweet), poriyal, avial, and more.
