Ankit & Vaishnavi's story
Some stories don’t begin with sparks. They begin with patience. Ours started in the most familiar Indian way, through families, conversations, and careful hope. When our parents first met, things didn’t work out for reasons we couldn’t foresee. Life moved on, quietly. And so did we. A year later, fate decided to revisit its own plan. Our families met again, and this time, everything felt aligned, as if destiny had simply asked for a little time. When we finally spoke, there was no rush, no noise, just a calm sense of understanding. Vaishnavi’s gentle smile and composed nature stood out instantly. The conversations felt easy, thoughtful, and reassuring. Somewhere between those simple talks, the answer became clear. This felt right. I am Ankit Keshari, a Chartered Accountant currently based in Bangalore. Vaishnavi is based in Varanasi, & pursuing her journey in Chartered Accountancy. Traditional at heart, yet modern in outlook, we believe in growing together while staying grounded.

Haldi
The Haldi ceremony is one of the most cherished pre-wedding rituals in an Indian wedding. Traditionally held a day or two before the wedding, it marks the start of the celebrations and brings together family and friends in an atmosphere filled with warmth, laughter, and blessings. During the ceremony, a sacred paste made from turmeric, sandalwood, and natural herbs is lovingly applied to the bride and groom by elders, relatives, and close friends. This ritual is believed to purify, protect, and bless the couple, bringing good health, prosperity, and a natural glow as they prepare for their wedding day. Expect cheerful banter, playful moments, music, and plenty of candid photographs. Guests are encouraged to wear yellow or light-colored traditional outfits and join in the fun. Don’t be surprised if you leave with turmeric on your hands, a smile on your face, and memories to last a lifetime.

Mehendi
The Mehendi ceremony is one of the most colorful and artistic celebrations in an Indian wedding. Traditionally held before the wedding day, it is a relaxed and festive gathering where family and friends come together to celebrate love, laughter, and new beginnings. At the heart of the ceremony is the application of mehendi (henna) on the Groom & bride’s hands and feet, adorned with intricate patterns that symbolize love, happiness, and prosperity. Close family members and guests are also invited to apply mehendi, turning the event into a shared experience filled with excitement and conversation. It is believed that the deeper the color of the mehendi, the stronger the bond between the couple. The atmosphere is lively and cheerful, with music, dance, and playful banter creating moments that are as memorable as they are beautiful. Bright décor, vibrant outfits, and the gentle fragrance of henna fill the space, making it a perfect setting for candid photographs and heartfelt laughter.

Wedding & Barat
The celebrations begin with the Baraat, a joyful procession marking the groom’s arrival. Accompanied by family and friends, music, and energetic dancing, the Baraat sets a vibrant tone for the day. Guests are welcome to join in the celebrations and share the excitement as two families come together. At the venue, the groom and his family are warmly welcomed by the bride’s family, symbolizing the union of two households. This is followed by the wedding ceremony, conducted according to traditional Indian rituals in the presence of family, elders, and the sacred fire. Each ritual carries deep meaning, representing love, commitment, and shared responsibility. From exchanging garlands to taking sacred vows, every moment reflects the beginning of a lifelong journey together. Rooted in tradition and surrounded by blessings, the ceremony marks the union of two individuals and two families.
