About the hosts
Satwik & Sangya's story
Sangya and Satwik first crossed paths during their MBBS days in Kanpur. What began as teamwork on projects and college events slowly turned into a bond no medicine could cure. Over five years, their friendship showed all the right symptoms of love, though neither dared to diagnose it openly.
After graduation, life prescribed different paths—Sangya pursued her MD in Ophthalmology at the prestigious AIIMS Patna, while Satwik joined the Indian Army as a doctor. The distance acted less like a barrier and more like a heartbeat, reminding them of what they already knew deep inside.
With time, their journey of friendship and love reached its perfect prognosis: they chose to turn this beautiful affair into marriage.

Wedding
This will be a traditional North Indian Banarasi wedding, filled with both sacred rituals and joyous celebrations. The groom’s side will arrive in full spirit with their baarat, marking the grand beginning of the evening. Soon after, the much-awaited jaymala will take place, where the bride and groom exchange garlands—a moment filled with laughter, cheer, and plenty of photographs.
Around 11 PM, the main wedding ceremony begins. Here, you’ll witness the living heritage of nearly 7,000 years of Hindu traditions, including the recitation of the world’s oldest written scripture Rigveda. Goosebumps, isn’t it?
The sacred rituals around the fire altar continue for 4–5 hours, each carrying deep symbolic and spiritual meaning. If you’re curious, just catch hold of any relative from the bride or groom’s side—they’ll be delighted to share the significance behind every step of this timeless ceremony that has been followed by Hindus for 1000s of years.
