Marriage
On this day, the marriage ceremony will finally take place. There is a sort of curtain (addu tera) between the bride and groom, and the bride must perform pooja before making her entrance in pelli butta and pallaki. This curtain will be taken down if it's time to keep jeelakarra bellam in both of their heads. Following a brief period of eye contact, the bride and groom will participate in a number of customary activities, such as talambralu, bommalata, kasi yatra, etc. The groom will then tie a yellow thread. We believe that the two most important things are tying this yellow thread and jeelakarra bellam. That's it. Following this procedure, the bride will accompany the groom's family, also referred to as appaginthalu.
