AjithKumar & VENMATHI's story
Dear friends and family,
We’re excited to share our journey and invite you to our wedding! Our story began as an arranged marriage, where our families united us with care. Initially, our meeting was filled with curiosity and a bit of nervous excitement, but soon our shared values and warm conversations sparked a genuine connection that blossomed into love.
I am Venmathi,23 years old, working as a NetworkEngineer. My partner, Ajith is 29 years old and a dedicated Technical Lead. We cherish our cultural roots and the support of our families as we build our future together.
Please join us on our special day. As we often say, “Love is not just about finding the right person, but building the right relationship.” We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Warmest regards,
Aji & Mathi

Marriage
Our South Indian marriage is a sacred and vibrant celebration rich in tradition and spirituality. It begins with pre-wedding rituals like Nischayathartham (engagement) and Panda Kaal Muhurtham (seeking blessings). On the wedding day, key rituals include Kashi Yatra, where the groom humorously renounces worldly life before marriage, and Mangalya Dharanam, where he ties the mangalsutra around the bride’s neck. The couple then takes the Saptapadi (seven steps) around the sacred fire, symbolizing their vows. Post-wedding customs include Grihapravesh (bride’s entry into her new home) and a grand reception. Brides wear silk sarees with gold jewelry, and grooms wear veshti. Traditional Nadaswaram music and a sumptuous vegetarian feast on banana leaves enhance the celebrations. More than a union of two individuals, a South Indian wedding is a joyous blending of families and traditions.
