Ours is a journey that began with trust. We were two strangers, living our own lives—he, a 29-year-old software professional, and she, a 26-year-old creative soul. Our families believed we were meant to meet and thoughtfully brought us together, handling every detail with love and care.
When we finally met, it was simple yet meaningful. What started as a formal conversation slowly turned into comfort, understanding, and a genuine connection. In that moment, we realized that while our story began with our families, the choice to move forward was ours.

**Odia Barat (Bara Jatri) Ceremony**
In an Odia wedding, the Barat (Bara Jatri) is a joyful and vibrant procession where the groom, along with his family and friends, travels to the bride’s home or wedding venue. Dressed in traditional attire, the groom often wears a *dhoti*, *kurta*, and *topor*. The procession is filled with music, dance, and celebration, creating a festive atmosphere.
As the Barat arrives, the bride’s family welcomes them warmly with rituals like *Aarti*, *Tilak*, and showering of flowers. The bride’s mother performs *baran* to bless the groom and ward off evil. Guests from both sides greet each other, marking the union of two families.
The Barat is not just a journey—it symbolizes happiness, acceptance, and the beginning of a sacred bond between the couple and their families.
