Rushikesh & Akshata's story
I am Akshata Deshpande(Bride), My family was searching suitable life partner for me. I was not so much serious to get married at this point but when I met Rushikesh, I could see all expectations from my side will get fulfilled. Him and his family are very supportive and thats what I most liked. Our educational background and thinking style is also familiar.We have met few times before engagement We both decided to get married by choice and our families were so happy after hearing this. So we got engaged in March 2025 and wedding is on 8th June 2025.

Simant poojan( cultural ceremony) and sangeet
For Simant poojan Bride and groom will sit for pooja and their parents will accept them as son in law and daughter in law respectively. their on the stage along with groom and bride their siblings or cousins sit behind groom and bride. After this or after lunch there will be sangeet ceremony. it will be containing dance, singing and so much fun
Day 2Sunday, June 8, 2025Pune

Haldi
On this event, groom and bride will sit beside each other wearing something in yellow and all the relatives and guests will apply turmeric to the groom's and bride's body.
Also other people will play Haldi among each other.
Saptapadi
On the Saptapadi event , there will be priest uttering mantras in front of bride and groom. Bride and groom will be wearing traditional Marathi outfits and they will have tieded knots with each other's Vastras. there will be home(fire) in front of them and
both of them will have to circle around that fire according to priest's instructions.
Guests will be witnessing this pure ceremony.
Antarpat
This is final step of marriage. In Antarpat ceremony ,bride side people and groom side people will be divided apart by white cloth and priest will be uttering mantras and after this groom and bride will place garlands into each other's neck and then they are husband wife for rest of their life.
