Shah & Nafisha's story
From childhood friends to soulmates, our story has been filled with fate, distance, adventure & love. i am Nafisha, an advocate from Kolkata & Shah is chef in Dubai, a chaotic, romantic duo who reconnected in 2022 and fell deeply in love despite the distance.
Now we’re finally celebrating our forever with a traditional destination wedding in the beautiful mountains of Gangtok, Sikkim the place of our very first trip together. its a celebrations of 3 days of unforgettable wedding festivities across 6 functions. From a modern fusion Haldi to Sangeet with bonfires, barbecue nights, fireworks, games, dance performances, poolside fun, and cultural rituals every event is designed to feel magical, dramatic, and full of memories from 25/10.
Our wedding takes place on 27/10 with receptions in Gangtok and Kolkata in 30/10. We’re inviting guests not as strangers, but as family to celebrate, laugh, dance, wear traditional outfits, enjoy amazing food, and create memories with us in the hills.

Haldi
Following our warm welcome ceremony, the celebrations continue with a vibrant traditional Haldi ceremony in the beautiful resort banquet surrounded by the breathtaking mountains of Gangtok. Filled with music, laughter, bright colours, floral décor, and sunset vibes, the afternoon will celebrate the beauty traditions in the most joyful way. Dressed in elegant ethnic outfits, our family and guests will come together to enjoy a celebration full of warmth, love, candid moments, and unforgettable memories before the evening festivities begin.
Sangeet
As the sun sets over the mountains of Gangtok, our Sangeet evening transforms into a magical celebration filled with music, lights, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Set under the beautiful hill station sky, the night will feature a bonfire and barbecue experience surrounded by dance, live music, games, performances, fireworks, and endless celebrations with family and friends.
Designed with a glamorous Bollywood-style vibe, the evening is all about energy, emotions, entertainment, and togetherness. From delicious food experiences and fun-filled games to dancing under the stars beside the bonfire, every moment of our Sangeet is planned to bring people together, create unforgettable memories, and celebrate love in the most joyful way possible.

Gaye Holud
Gaye Holud ceremony is a celebration of love, blessings, family, and culture before the beginning of our forever. Set against the peaceful mountain views of Gangtok, the morning will be filled with the warmth of traditions, vibrant shades of yellow, fresh flowers, music, laughter, and heartfelt rituals shared with our closest loved ones.
In Bengali tradition, Gaye Holud is one of the most emotional and joyful pre-wedding ceremonies, where family and friends apply turmeric to bless the bride and groom with happiness, prosperity, and a beautiful married life ahead. Surrounded by traditional décor, ethnic attire, cultural music, and the joyful spirit of togetherness, the ceremony beautifully reflects the richness of Bengali wedding traditions while creating unforgettable memories in the hills.
Nikkah
Our Nikkah ceremony will take place in a beautiful garden creating a celebration that feels elegant, intimate, and timeless. Surrounded by nature, floral aesthetics, soft afternoon light, and the peaceful charm of the hills, the ceremony will beautifully blend traditional Bengali Muslim rituals with a dreamy and Pinterest-inspired aesthetic. As we begin our forever together, the afternoon will be filled with heartfelt moments, cultural traditions, soulful music, and the warmth of our loved ones gathered around us. Following the Nikkah, guests will enjoy a specially curated food experience featuring delicious meals, sweet celebrations, and meaningful conversations in a relaxed garden atmosphere.

Wedding Reception
As the evening falls over the beautiful mountains, our reception celebration begins with a magical blend of culture, music, traditions, and joyful togetherness. the evening is designed to be elegant, lively, and full of unforgettable moments shared with family, friends, and loved ones.
The reception will feature beautiful cultural Nepali dance performances and live traditional music from Sikkim, bringing the spirit and beauty of the local culture into our celebrations. Along with this, special dance performances by family and friends, heartfelt moments, laughter, music, and celebrations will make the evening even more memorable and emotional.

After our intimate mountain wedding celebrations in Gangtok, we return to Kolkata for our grand reception evening a final celebration filled with elegance, joy, lights, and togetherness with our extended family and loved ones.
Hosted in the heart of the city, the reception party will bring together the warmth of traditional celebrations with a glamorous evening atmosphere & a lively celebration as we welcome everyone to be part of the beginning of our new journey together.
The evening will feature a specially curated food experience with a wide variety of delicious cuisines, desserts, and traditional favorites, creating a celebration that feels both luxurious and welcoming. Surrounded by family, friends, heartfelt conversations, and endless memories, our Kolkata reception is planned as a joyful ending to our wedding festivities and the perfect beginning to our forever together.
