akshay606 & Shikha's story
We first met through our parents, and from that moment, our journey together began. Like any relationship, we had our share of ups and downs—days when we argued, moments when we talked things through, and times when we felt unsure about what the future held for us. However, with time, patience, and understanding, everything gradually fell into place. As we grew closer, we realized that what we shared was truly special, and we eventually fell in love.
I am 29 years old, and she is 26. I am currently working in the private sector with a liquor company originally from Scotland, Ian Macleod, known for its premium single malt whisky. Through my work, I have had the opportunity to interact with people from different countries and cultures.
With great joy, we warmly invite all our esteemed guests from across the world to join us and celebrate this beautiful beginning of our new life together

DJ Night
the DJ Night is one of the most lively and enjoyable functions in a Himachali wedding, especially on the groom’s side. It is usually organized a day before the wedding and is a time when family members, relatives, and friends gather to celebrate with music, dance, and jo
In Himachal Pradesh, this event is not only about entertainment but also about bringing both families closer together. On the groom’s side, the boys and close friends take the lead in organizing the stage, sound system, lighting, and welcoming guests.
During the DJ night, the groom’s friends and cousins perform dance performances, encourage others to join the dance floor, and keep the energy high throughout the evening.
Apart from dancing, the boys are responsible for taking care of guests, guiding them to their seats, arranging snacks and drinks, and ensuring that elders and relatives are comfortable. This night becomes a memorable part of the wedding.
Barat
The second day of a wedding in Himachal Pradesh is the most important, as it includes the main wedding rituals. The day begins with traditional pujas and preparations at the groom’s house, where he gets ready in his wedding attire with sehra. Family members seek blessings for a prosperous married life.
The highlight of the day is the Barat, where the groom, along with his family and friends, proceeds to the bride’s venue with music and dance. Upon arrival, the groom’s family is warmly welcomed by the bride’s side with traditional customs.
The sacred wedding rituals take place in the mandap, where the couple takes vows around the holy fire, symbolizing their lifelong commitment. The groom’s side ensures proper coordination, guest care, and smooth execution of ceremonies. This day beautifully reflects tradition, joy, and the beginning of a new journey together.
Vidaai
The third day of a wedding in Himachal Pradesh is filled with emotional and joyful moments, as it marks the conclusion of the wedding celebrations. The day begins with final rituals at the bride’s house, followed by the Vidaai ceremony, where the bride bids an emotional farewell to her family. This moment is deeply touching, symbolizing her transition to a new life with her husband.
After the Vidaai, the groom brings the bride to his home, where she is warmly welcomed by his family through traditional rituals and customs. This is followed by a reception or small celebration, where relatives and guests bless the newly married couple.
The third day reflects a blend of emotions—happiness, love, and farewell—marking the beginning of a new journey for the couple and strengthening the bond between both families.
