Umang & Jyoti's story
It was in the serene hills of Mahabaleshwar we crossed paths first time. We found ourselves staying at a Zostel dorm and making memories that would last for lifetime. Unknowingly setting the stage for the greatest adventure of our lives. From exploring hidden trails to sharing stories around campfires. It took long to realize that our love for travel was the beginning of something deeper.
Though we come from different cultural backgrounds—I am from North India, and Umang is a Kashmiri Pandit—our love has only grown stronger as we embrace our differences. I am excited to explore and adopt the beautiful traditions of Kashmiri culture, learning more about the heritage that Umang holds so dear.
With hearts full of love and excitement for the road ahead, we invite you to be a part of the next chapter in our story—our wedding. Please join us as we say “I do” and embark on our greatest adventure yet!

Wedding
On the wedding day, the couple is brought together in the Varmala (Jaimala) ceremony, where they exchange garlands as a symbol of acceptance and respect for each other. This is followed by the Pheras, where the bride and groom circle around the sacred fire, taking vows of love and commitment.
Finally, the Kashmiri Vidaai takes place, marking the bride’s farewell as she leaves her home to start a new life with her husband. Throughout, the wedding is filled with joyful rituals, prayers, and the presence of close family and friends.
