About the hosts
Jitendra & Shubhangi's story
Our story began in the familiar corridors of our college, where a simple friendship slowly blossomed into a lifelong promise. What truly drew me to him wasn't just a single moment, but the way he spoke—with a kindness that felt like home and a deep-rooted respect for my family that won my heart completely. He didn't just care for me; he honored everything that made me who I am.
We weren’t just dreamers; we were doers. Both of us dedicated years to relentless hard work, balancing the rigors of education with the hustle of building our careers. We’ve seen each other through the late nights and the professional milestones, proving that we are not just lovers, but the ultimate team.
Now, as we stand at the threshold of this new chapter, we want you there. Your presence would mean the world to us as we celebrate a love built on respect, ambition, and shared dreams. "In all the world, there is no heart for me like yours." Please join us and witness the beginning of our "forever."

Haldi
🍯 The Haldi: A Golden Splash of Joy!
Before we say "I do," we get covered in gold! The Haldi ceremony is one of the most vibrant and high-energy traditions in a Maharashtrian wedding.
The Ritual: Family and friends apply a fragrant paste of turmeric (Haldi), sandalwood, and rose water to the bride and groom.
The Meaning: Beyond the beautiful "wedding glow," the yellow turmeric signifies purity, prosperity, and a blessing for a healthy life together.
The Fun: Beware—it usually turns into a playful "turmeric war!" Expect loud music, traditional Marathi folk songs (Dhol-Tasha), and plenty of dancing.
Guest Tip: Wear something yellow or bright! Don’t be afraid to get a little turmeric on your hands—it’s a symbol of being part of our new journey. Get ready for laughter, music, and the most colorful morning of our lives!

Wedding
The Grand Union: A Royal Maharashtrian Wedding
Day 2 is when the magic happens! A Maharashtrian wedding is a beautiful blend of deep-rooted Vedic traditions and joyous celebration.
The Baraat (Groom’s Entry): Expect a high-energy parade! The groom arrives with a rhythmic Dhol-Tasha (traditional drums) troupe. Everyone—including you—is invited to dance in the streets!
The Antarpat (The Big Reveal): A silk shawl separates the bride and groom as they stand opposite each other. Shlokas are chanted, and at the perfect moment—"Savdhan!"—the cloth drops, and they see each other for the first time as a couple amidst a shower of colored rice (Akshata).
The Mangalsutra & Saptapadi: Witness the most sacred moments where the groom ties the gold-and-black bead necklace around the bride’s neck and they take Seven Steps together around a holy fire, making seven lifelong promises.
