Pudava
This ceremony is a short one where the groom's sister hands over the bridal saree along with jasmine flower and kumkum powder. The bridal saree is given always a day earlier to the wedding. It's a form of seeking blessing from the groom's family and small gathering prior to the wedding. It'll only include close family and relatives. You'll get to see the depth of Kerala tradition as everyone adorns in prayers and laughter for this event.
Manjal Kalyanam/ Haldi
Manjal means turmeric and Kalyanam denotes Wedding, this is a super lively pre-wedding event for all the family and friends to enjoy. During this event friends and family will apply a mixture of turmeric and rose water to the couple's body that's said to be auspicious and give the bride and groom a pre bridal glow. The ceremonial application of turmeric and sandalwood paste on the couple's bodies carries profound symbolism, representing purity and serving as a protective barrier against malevolent forces. Our event is held at a open resort with boat ride and scenic views from every angle! Dance, music, food and local alcohol aka toddy will be the highlights of the day.
