About the hosts
Manikandan & Abinaya's story
I am Abinaya from Thoothukudi district, an entrepreneur by profession. My groom, Mr. Manikandan, is from Kallakurichi district and is currently working in Chennai. Ours is an arranged marriage, but we fell in love with each other during our very first meeting. We spent quality time together, shared many things, and though we found several differences between us, we realized that we complemented each other perfectly. That’s when we decided to begin our journey together, and now our wedding date has been fixed.

Engagement
On the day of the engagement, the groom’s relatives will first come to the bride’s house and take the bride along with them to the mandapam. After that, certain traditional formalities will be followed. Once these are completed, the engagement ceremony will begin, where we will exchange rings along with a few other rituals.

Wedding
In the morning, a Nalangu ceremony will be performed for both the bride and the groom. After getting ready, they will proceed to the temple, where the wedding rituals and formalities will take place, including special poojas for the parents. Following this, the Thaali tying ceremony will be held. Once the temple rituals are completed, everyone will move to the mandapam, where relatives and guests will offer their gifts, enjoy the feast, and bless the couple before leaving
