As we prepare to step into this new chapter, my heart is filled with gratitude for this journey, for all the love that surrounds us, and especially for you our dear friends and family. Get ready for a night of vibrant celebration before the wedding! The Sangeet is a joyous evening filled with music, dance, and lots of laughter. You'll witness lively performances by family and friends, showcasing a mix of traditional and contemporary moves. It's a fantastic opportunity to see the happy couple and their loved ones let loose, share in some friendly competition, and set a festive tone for the upcoming marriage. Haldi
This is a vibrant and joyous pre-wedding ritual where family and friends gather to bless the couple. During the ceremony, a paste made primarily from turmeric (haldi), sandalwood, and rosewater is applied to the bride and groom's skin. Turmeric is believed to have purifying and beautifying properties, and it's also thought to ward off evil spirits and bring good luck. You'll see a lot of laughter, singing, and playful moments as everyone takes turns anointing the couple. It's a fun and interactive event, full of bright colors and joyful energy, symbolising a fresh and auspicious start for their married life. Get ready for some lively music and plenty of photo opportunities!
Barat
The Baarat is the groom's lively procession to the wedding venue, typically led by the groom himself, often on a horse or in a decorated car. You'll hear upbeat music (often a dhol, a traditional Indian drum, or a DJ), see spirited dancing by the groom's family and friends, and feel the excitement building as we approach the bride's side. It's a vibrant spectacle filled with happiness, music, and lots of celebratory energy. Join us in dancing and welcoming the groom!
