rahul & ritika's story
welcome to a grand rajasthani marwadi wedding A Marwadi wedding is like a festival. Multiple days of joy, music, dance, and rituals Every love story is beautiful, but ours feels truly special. I am from the vibrant land of Rajasthan, while my bride belongs to the heart of Delhi. Destiny brought us together in Gujarat, where her family lives and where I work in Ahmedabad. Back in 2024, fate played its part—my coaching center was right next to her college. What started as simple conversations soon turned into friendship, and that friendship blossomed into love. With every passing day, we discovered more about each other and knew we were meant to be together. we shared our hearts with our families, and with their blessings, our journey took a beautiful turn. We traveled to Delhi to celebrate our engagement, sealing our bond with love and tradition. Now, as we step into the most awaited chapter of our lives, our wedding, we can’t wait to celebrate this union with all of you

haldi
n a Marwadi wedding, the Haldi ceremony, also known as Pithi Dastoor, holds a very special place. It is one of the most joyful and colorful rituals before the wedding. A paste made of turmeric, sandalwood, and other traditional ingredients is applied to the bride and groom by their family and friends. This ritual is believed to purify the body, bring a natural glow, and ward off negativity before stepping into a new phase of life. More than the tradition, it is a moment filled with laughter, music, and playful fun, as loved ones gather to bless the couple. The fragrance of haldi, the sound of dhol, and the joy in the air make this day truly unforgettable.

mamera
In Marwadi culture, the Mamera is one of the most emotional and meaningful pre-wedding rituals. It is deeply rooted in tradition and reflects the unconditional love of the bride’s maternal family. During this ceremony, the bride’s maternal uncle (Mama) and the maternal side of the family visit the bride’s home with affection, blessings, and gifts. These gifts usually include clothes, jewelry, sweets, dry fruits, and sometimes symbolic items for the wedding. Each gift is not just material—it carries love, blessings, and the promise of lifelong support. Mamera is more than a tradition—it is an emotional celebration of relationships, love, and the values that hold families together. With songs, laughter, and heartfelt blessings, it becomes one of the most memorable highlights of a Marwadi wedding.
bandoli
The Bandoli is one of the most joyful and important pre-wedding rituals in a Marwadi wedding. It is celebrated with great enthusiasm, usually a day before the wedding, and marks the beginning of the grand festivities. During this ceremony, the groom is formally invited by his relatives and close family members to a traditional feast. It is a beautiful way of showing love, respect, and togetherness. Delicious food, vibrant music, and laughter make the atmosphere lively and festive. For us, the Bandoli is not just a ritual—it is the moment when our family, relatives, and dear friends come together to celebrate the upcoming union. It is a warm gathering where blessings are shared, hearts are filled with happiness, and the wedding excitement truly begins. As your hosts, we are excited to welcome you to our Bandoli celebration. barat prasthan (wedding procession)
he Baraat Prasthan is one of the most vibrant and grand moments of a Marwadi wedding. It marks the groom’s royal departure from his home to the wedding venue, surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones. Traditionally, the groom mounts a beautifully decorated horse (or sometimes arrives in a regal car or carriage), while the baraatis—his family and friends—dance with joy to the beats of dhol and shehnai. The entire procession is filled with color, music, and unmatched energy. The Baraat is not just a journey—it is a celebration on the move. It represents the groom’s readiness to begin a new chapter of life, while his loved ones stand by him in happiness and excitement. With every step, the Baraat Prasthan becomes a festival in itself
