Shan & Sameeha's story
Hi! We’re Sameeha and Shan, and our story began five years ago on our college campus. Shan was my super senior—calm, thoughtful, and always supportive. I was the new face, full of energy and curiosity. We became close friends, bonded over endless chats, shared laughs, and stood by each other through everything. Slowly, that friendship turned into something deeper—something special. Today, we’re not just best friends but partners for life. I’m 25, he’s 28, and together we’re building a life full of love, respect, and laughter. We’re so excited to start this new chapter and we’d love nothing more than to have you with us on our big day. “Come for the love, stay for the memories. Our wedding wouldn’t be the same without you!” With love, Sameeha & Shan

Mehandi Night
At the Mehendi night, close friends and family come together to celebrate the bride with music, laughter, and joy. Beautiful henna designs are applied to the bride’s hands and feet, often symbolizing love, blessings, and good luck. Female guests also join in, getting their own mehendi done. Traditional songs are sung, and there’s plenty of dancing, snacks, and heartfelt moments. The bride is dressed in vibrant colors, glowing with happiness as she’s surrounded by her loved ones. It’s a warm, intimate event that sets the tone for the wedding celebrations ahead.

Nikkah
The Nikkah day is the most sacred and beautiful part of a Kerala Muslim wedding. It is the official Islamic marriage ceremony where the bride and groom are united in the presence of family, friends, and religious witnesses. The ceremony is usually held at a mosque or a wedding venue. The Qazi (religious officiant) recites verses from the Quran, and both the bride and groom give their formal consent to the marriage—this is the heart of the Nikkah. A marriage contract (Nikahnama) is signed, and prayers are offered for the couple’s happiness and future. After the Nikkah, there is usually a short sermon, blessings, and a joyful gathering with delicious food. It’s a meaningful day filled with love, faith, and the beginning of a new journey together.
