*Haldi ceremony* - a pre-wedding ritual in Indian tradition. It’s a joyful, fun-filled event where family and friends apply a paste made of turmeric, sandalwood, and sometimes oil or rosewater on the bride and groom’s body, face, hands, and feet. Turmeric is considered auspicious in Indian culture and is believed to: - *Purify and cleanse* the skin, giving a natural glow before the wedding - *Ward off evil* and bring good luck and prosperity to the couple - *Symbolize blessings* from elders and loved ones The ceremony usually happens a day or two before the wedding at both the bride’s and groom’s homes separately.
