We’re Danish and Dilshida — two hearts from Kerala brought together by fate and bound by love. Our journey began with simple conversations that blossomed into something truly special. Danish works as a radiographer with the NHS in London, while Dilshida is completing her studies back home in Kerala. Though miles apart, our bond has only grown stronger with time. We’re in our twenties, full of dreams and love, and we’re getting married in April 2026 in Kerala!

Nikkah
Nikah is the Islamic marriage ceremony — a sacred and beautiful contract between two individuals, witnessed by family, friends, and the community. It is both a spiritual and legal union, rooted in love, mercy, and mutual respect.
During the Nikah, vows are exchanged in the presence of witnesses, and a marriage contract is signed. It begins with praise for Allah, a short sermon (khutbah), and concludes with heartfelt prayers and blessings for the couple.
More than just a tradition, Nikah is a moment of joy, commitment, and the beginning of a shared journey — one that is guided by faith, filled with love, and built on trust and understanding.
Wedding Reception
The wedding reception is a joyful celebration held after the Nikah ceremony. It’s a time for family, friends, and loved ones to come together and celebrate the union of the bride and groom.
Unlike the formal and spiritual nature of the Nikah, the reception is more festive — filled with warm wishes, delicious food, music, and cherished moments. It’s a chance for everyone to bless the newlyweds, enjoy the festivities, and create unforgettable memories together.
