Israt Iftesam & Wakia Abdullah's story
Shakil & Nafisa Our first conversation was an interview. At Bangladesh University of Professionals in Dhaka, I was recruiting new members for one of the department clubs, and Nafisa was one of the students across the table. It was brief and polite, and for years that was all it was, a glimpse of each other now and then around campus. A few years later, I saw her pass by on a rickshaw, looking so beautiful he couldn't let the moment go. I texted her. The messages became long conversations, and soon they were sharing everything with each other. Then, the way life does, it pulled them apart, and they drifted out of touch. One day a story appeared on his phone: Nafisa, at a gym just round the corner from his home in Dhaka. That's where the real story began. For the rest of it, you'll have to come to the wedding.
