Soham & Shivani's story
We never expected a matrimonial website to turn into our favorite love story. It all started on Shadi.com when I came across Shivani’s profile and instantly felt a connection. On 17th April, I sent her a request. Maybe she missed it, maybe she never opened the app, but life had other plans. On 30th April, her profile appeared again. This time, I decided not to leave it to fate. I searched for her on LinkedIn, found her profile, and finally messaged her on 1st May. What followed were endless conversations, effortless comfort, and a connection that felt incredibly natural. Within just four days, both of us somehow knew, this was it. On 6th May, we met for the first time, and everything simply felt right. The bond we built online became even more real in person. And the rest is in front of you today. We’re truly grateful that one profile request turned into a lifetime together, and even happier to celebrate this beautiful journey with all of you.

Shadi
Join us as we celebrate the most special part of our wedding journey with our traditional Indian wedding ceremony. This event includes beautiful rituals, heartfelt moments, and vibrant traditions that symbolize love, unity, and the beginning of a new chapter together. One of the highlights of the ceremony is the Varmala, where the bride and groom exchange floral garlands as a sign of acceptance, respect, and love for one another. The ceremony will also include traditional vows taken around the sacred fire, blessings from family and elders, and meaningful customs that have been part of Indian weddings for generations. Expect an atmosphere filled with elegance, emotions, music, celebrations, and unforgettable memories. Whether you are experiencing an Indian wedding for the first time or celebrating alongside us as family, we are excited to share this beautiful cultural experience with you. Thank you for being part of our special day and celebrating the beginning of our forever together.
Saptpadi
The Saptapadi, also known as the Seven Steps or Seven Sacred Vows, is one of the most meaningful traditions in an Indian wedding ceremony. During this ritual, the bride and groom walk seven steps together around a sacred fire, with each step representing a promise for love, trust, friendship, support, happiness, family, and lifelong companionship. In Indian culture, the Saptapadi symbolizes the official beginning of marriage and the commitment to stand by each other through every stage of life. Each vow reflects shared values and the journey the couple promises to take together as partners. This ceremony is deeply emotional, spiritual, and beautiful to witness, bringing together tradition, family blessings, and the celebration of two lives becoming one. We are excited to share this special moment and cultural experience with all of you as we begin our forever together.
Vidai
The Vidai, also known as the farewell ceremony, is one of the most emotional moments in an Indian wedding. It marks the bride’s farewell to her family as she begins a new journey with her husband and enters a new home and chapter in life. Filled with love, blessings, happy tears, and heartfelt emotions, this tradition beautifully reflects the deep bond between a daughter and her family. While it is a moment of goodbye, it is also a celebration of new beginnings, lifelong companionship, and the support of loved ones who stand beside the couple as they start their married life together. For many, Vidai is one of the most touching parts of an Indian wedding, reminding everyone that weddings are not just about celebrations, but also about family, emotions, traditions, and love that lasts forever. We are grateful to share this deeply meaningful moment with all of you as we begin our new journey together.
