Ajith Narayanan & Gouri S's story
A Decade of Love: From Best Friends to Soulmates. We met in college, two strangers who became best friends, sharing laughter, dreams, and endless conversations. Our bond was effortless, built on trust and understanding. Slowly, friendship turned into love—not dramatic, but natural, as if it was always meant to be. Through the years, we faced challenges, navigated careers, and supported each other unconditionally. Distance, responsibilities, and life’s uncertainties tested us, but our love never wavered. Now, after ten beautiful years together, we are ready to take the next step. With our parents’ blessings, we have chosen an intimate Kerala-style wedding, a celebration of tradition, simplicity, and love. This isn’t just a wedding—it’s the beginning of forever.

Mukkootti
The first event of our wedding, Mukkootti, is a celebration of love, tradition, and togetherness. Named after the Ayurvedic-significant Mukkootti flower, this gathering marks the beginning of our wedding festivities in the most joyful way. It’s not just a ritual; it’s a chance for both families to bond, laugh, and create beautiful memories. As part of the celebration, we have planned fun-filled games between the bride’s and groom’s sides, serving as the perfect icebreaker. From friendly competitions to lighthearted challenges, these games will bring everyone closer, turning strangers into family. The event will be filled with cheer, music, and the warmth of togetherness, setting the tone for the days ahead. Just like the Mukkootti flower symbolizes healing and harmony, this event represents the blending of two families, creating a foundation of love and unity as we step into this new journey together.
Mylanchi
Our second wedding event, Nishagandhi, is a night of tradition, beauty, and celebration. Inspired by the Nishagandhi flower, which blooms only at night, this ceremony reflects the magic and warmth of coming together under the starlit sky. Rooted in Kerala’s traditions, this is our version of the Mylanchi ceremony, where our loved ones will apply mehendi to my hands as a blessing for a prosperous married life. This intimate ritual symbolizes love, fertility, and the bond between families. As the night unfolds, the air will be filled with music, laughter, and vibrant performances. Dance, songs, and entertainment will bring both families together, turning the evening into a joyous celebration of unity and happiness. Just like the Nishagandhi flower’s rare and enchanting bloom, this night will be one to cherish forever, marking the beginning of a lifetime of love and togetherness.

Temple wedding
The most sacred moment of our journey, Thamara, will take place in the serene embrace of Kumaranalloor Devi Temple in the early morning. Inspired by the lotus (Thamara), a symbol of purity, devotion, and new beginnings, this ceremony marks the heart of our wedding. As the first rays of the sun bathe the temple in golden light, we will tie the sacred knot, surrounded by the divine energy of the Goddess and the blessings of our loved ones. The simplicity of the morning, the rhythmic chants, and the temple’s divine aura will make this an intimate yet deeply meaningful moment. Just like the lotus blooms untouched by the waters around it, our wedding at this sacred space signifies a love that remains pure, strong, and unwavering. Thamara is not just a ritual; it is the promise of a lifetime, rooted in tradition and blessed by the divine.
Wedding ceremony
After our sacred temple wedding, the celebrations will continue at our homestay, where the rest of the wedding rituals will take place in an intimate and traditional setting. Surrounded by our closest family and friends, these rituals will honor the blessings of our elders and the customs passed down through generations. The atmosphere will be filled with warmth, laughter, and the joy of togetherness as we complete the final ceremonies that mark the beginning of our life as husband and wife. Following the rituals, a grand Sadhya will be served—a traditional Kerala feast on banana leaves, symbolizing prosperity and abundance. With a spread of vibrant flavors and heartfelt conversations, this meal will be a celebration of love, unity, and the blessings that have brought us to this beautiful moment. As we gather around, sharing food and joy, this will be the perfect conclusion to our wedding festivities, filled with gratitude and love.
