Akash & Aashritha's story
In the tradition of arranged marriages, fate wove our lives together. Through family talks and cultural values, we were introduced. Amidst the unknown, a profound connection blossomed. In the enchanting Love Park of Philadelphia (USA), our first meeting unfolded. Surrounded by the park's iconic symbols of LOVE, we shared nervous laughter and heartfelt conversations. As we gazed into each other's eyes, amidst the beauty of the park, we knew that our love story was just beginning. Today, as we stand on the threshold of a new chapter, we are glad we have found home in each other’s arms and as we step forward into the future, hand in hand, we do so with the certainty that our love will continue to grow, evolve, and endure, for eternity. We will be extremely happy if you could join us in our wedding! You can witness the rich traditions associated with a Tamil Brahmin wedding !!

Sangeet and DJ Night
A Sangeet ceremony is a lively and vibrant pre-wedding event in Indian culture, particularly in Hindu weddings. It's essentially a musical extravaganza filled with dancing, singing, and merriment, where the families and friends of the bride and groom come together to celebrate. This event will feature friendly dance competitions between the bride's and groom's sides of the family. This adds an element of excitement and friendly rivalry to the event, with everyone showing off their best dance moves. As the evening progresses, the Sangeet ceremony seamlessly transitions into a DJ night, where guests hit the dance floor to groove to the latest Bollywood beats and international hits. The DJ keeps the energy levels high, ensuring that everyone has a great time dancing the night away.

Then we have "Kanyadaanam" - the bride's father gives away his daughter's hand in marriage to the groom, after which the groom ties the "Mangalsutra" (sacred thread) around the bride's neck, symbolizing their marital union and commitment to each other.(Mangalya Dharanam) This is followed by "Saptapadi"- The bride and groom take seven steps together around the sacred fire (Agni), each step representing a vow they make to each other. Later, The newlyweds offer prayers to the sacred fire, seeking blessings for a long and prosperous married life (Sesha Homam)
