About the hosts
Dinesh & haripriya's story
Our story began with family traditions, an arranged meeting, and a quiet "hello." Dinesh Kumar, a man of gentle smiles and thoughtful words, was a stranger. Yet, as we navigated the initial awkwardness, something shifted.
Wedding planning became our shared adventure. I, with my dreams of vibrant celebrations, and Dinesh, with his grounded practicality, found a surprising harmony. We discovered shared laughter over mismatched decorations, late-night chai, and endless vendor negotiations.
He saw the heart behind my enthusiasm; I saw the warmth beneath his quiet demeanor. Slowly, the "arranged" faded, replaced by genuine affection. We learned each other's quirks, dreams, and vulnerabilities.
Our love blossomed not from a whirlwind romance, but from shared moments of understanding. Now, as we stand on the threshold of our wedding day, I know that our journey, built on respect and growing love, is just beginning.

Muhurtham
Hindu weddings center on "muhurtham," an astrologically determined auspicious time, ensuring a prosperous union. Vedic calculations align celestial positions for optimal blessings. The "thali," a sacred necklace, embodies the marital bond. The groom ties three knots, symbolizing commitment (physical, mental, spiritual), union, and devotion (to God, ancestors, and each other). This act solidifies the marriage, visually representing the couple's inseparable bond. Muhurtham initiates the marriage with positive energy, while the thali's three knots concretize the vows, marking a sacred and lasting commitment. Together, these traditions ensure a blessed and harmonious beginning.
Reception Party
THIS HAPPENS IN ANOTHER PLACE, COIMBATORE. The post-wedding reception in Indian weddings is a celebratory event, marking the official introduction of the newlyweds to a wider circle of friends and extended family. It's typically a more relaxed and festive affair compared to the traditional wedding ceremony.
The reception features:
Entrance: The couple makes a entrance, often to music and applause.
Formal Stage: A decorated stage is set up for the couple to greet guests and pose for photographs.
Feast: A lavish meal is served, featuring a variety of Indian and sometimes international cuisine.
Entertainment: Music, dancing, and sometimes performances provide entertainment.
Gift-Giving: Guests present gifts to the newlyweds.
Essentially, the reception is a joyful culmination of the wedding festivities, a chance for the couple to bask in the well-wishes of their loved ones and begin their married life amidst celebration.
