Albin & Tintu's story
Tintu and I first met in church back in 2020, and what started as a simple connection has grown into something truly special. She’s a dedicated nurse, and I’m a software engineer—two different worlds, yet we complement each other perfectly. Now, five years later, we’re taking the next big step and getting married! You’re welcome to celebrate this joyful journey with us.

Madhuram Veppu
Madhuram Veppu (മധുരം വെപ്പ്) is a traditional pre-wedding ceremony in Kerala, particularly among Christian communities. It translates to "sweet offering" and is a joyful celebration held on the eve of the wedding.
Significance & Rituals
- The event is usually hosted at the bride’s and groom’s respective homes with close family and friends.
- A key ritual involves elders feeding the bride and groom a sweet dish (often banana with honey or milk) as a symbolic gesture of wishing them a sweet and prosperous married life.
- The ceremony includes prayers, blessings from elders, and sometimes a small gathering with music and celebration.
- It sets a warm and festive tone for the wedding day, strengthening family bonds and traditions.
It’s similar in spirit to other pre-wedding traditions in different cultures, focusing on blessings, joy, and togetherness.

HOLY MASS and Wedding Ceremony in church
Kerala Christian weddings are a blend of faith, tradition, and family. The ceremony begins with a Holy Mass, where prayers, hymns, and scripture readings set a sacred tone. The priest offers blessings, and the couple receives the Eucharist, seeking divine grace.
The wedding ceremony follows, where the couple exchanges vows and rings, symbolizing their lifelong commitment. The groom places the Manthrakodi (bridal saree) over the bride’s head, signifying his promise to protect her. The Minnukettu (tying of the sacred knot) is a key ritual where the groom ties a cross-shaped pendant on a thread around the bride’s neck, symbolizing their sacred bond.
The ceremony concludes with prayers, blessings, and a joyful reception with family and friends. Kerala Christian weddings beautifully unite love and devotion, making them deeply meaningful.
Food & Feast
After the Holy Mass and wedding ceremony, guests are invited to a grand wedding feast (sadhya or banquet), which is an essential part of the celebration. The food served varies based on tradition and personal preferences but is always a symbol of joy and togetherness.
