We hope this message finds you well.
We are thrilled to share with you the new chapter of our lives, and we would love for you to be a part of our special day. Our journey began through a modern yet traditional route—an online platform that brought us together. After six months of getting to know each other, sharing our interests, passions, and dreams, we decided to take this exciting step towards marriage.
I am Ajish a PhD student in Australia, and my partner Sruthi, a financial counselor at a prestigious hospital in Kerala, are excited to invite you to our arranged marriage ceremony, a celebration of love, commitment, and togetherness. This union, though arranged, built on mutual respect, understanding, and a genuine bond, and we would be honoured to have you witness this sacred moment.
By attending our wedding, you’ll not only be a part of our personal journey but also experience the beauty and rich culture.
With love and warmth,

Arrival and Blessings: The bride and groom, along with their families, arrive at the temple. They may perform initial prayers or receive blessings from the temple priests.
Ganesh Puja (Prayers to Lord Ganesha): The ceremony often begins with a prayer to Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, asking for blessings for the smooth execution of the wedding.

Varmala or Jaimala (Exchange of Garlands): The bride and groom exchange floral garlands, signifying their acceptance of one another as life partners. This is often done in front of the temple deity.
At the auditorium
Agni Parikrama (Circumambulation of the Sacred Fire): The couple circles the sacred fire (Agni), which is considered a witness to the vows they make. They may walk around the fire multiple times, each round representing different vows or promises.
Saptapadi (Seven Steps): The couple takes seven steps together, each step symbolizing a different aspect of their married life, such as love, trust, happiness, and respect for one another. These steps are considered vows they make to support each other.
Tying of the Mangalsutra: The groom ties a mangalsutra (a sacred necklace) around the bride’s neck, symbolizing their marital bond. This is often accompanied by a prayer or blessing from the priest.
Blessings and Prayers: The priest or pundit offers blessings to the couple, praying for a prosperous, happy, and long life together. The couple may also offer prayers to the temple deity.

Reception
The wedding reception is a celebratory event that typically takes place after the wedding ceremony. It is a time for our family and friends to come together and celebrate the newly married couple.
Arrival of the Newlyweds: The couple usually enters the reception venue as a newly married pair, often greeted with applause, music, and a traditional welcome.
Music and Dance: Music plays an essential role in Hindu weddings, and the reception is no different. There will be live music, DJs, or a dance floor where the couple, their family, and guests dance to Bollywood music, classical Indian songs, or popular tracks. The dancing is lively, and it’s common for everyone to join in.
Cake cutting and gifts will be followed by a lavish spread of food is often served at the reception, with a variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes.
