Satendra & Kalpana's story
Good evening, everyone. My name is Kalpana, and today, as I stand here as a bride, my heart is overflowing with gratitude, joy, and love. This day has been a dream for so long, and seeing it come to life with all the people who matter most to me is truly overwhelming. Thank you all for being here to celebrate one of the most important moments of my life.
A wedding is not just about two people coming together; it’s also about the families, friends, and communities that shape us. I want to take a moment to thank my parents. Amma and Appa, you have given me more love, strength, and support than I could ever measure. You raised me with values, taught me how to be kind, how to be resilient, and how to believe in myself. Every step I take in life, I carry your blessings with me. Thank you for everything you have done to make this day beautiful and meaningful.

Lagan ceremony
The Haldi ceremony is one of the most joyful and sacred pre-wedding rituals. It is known by many names—Haldi, Pithi, Tel Baan, Ubtan—but the meaning is the same everywhere: purification, protection, and blessings for a new beginning.
According to tradition, the yellow Haldi paste is applied to the bride and groom to bring good luck, radiance, and positivity before the wedding. Yellow symbolizes purity, happiness, new beginnings, and the energy of the sun. Family members apply Haldi with love, prayers, and laughter—wishing the couple a life filled with joy and harmony.
The Haldi ceremony is also believed to protect the bride and groom from negative energy. In many cultures, once Haldi is applied, the bride and groom are considered “too pure” to step outside, which is why they stay at home until the wedding.
Marriage
Today, as I step into this sacred moment, I feel blessed to be surrounded by all of you—our dear family and friends. Your presence fills our wedding with love, warmth, and happiness. Thank you for being here to bless our union and celebrate this new beginning. With your love and the grace of the divine, we start a journey built on trust, respect, and lifelong companionship.”
“May this day be remembered not only for our vows, but for the joy, colors, and emotions we all share together. Thank you for dressing in such beautiful colors and adding brightness to our celebration.
