Atul & Mamta's story

Haldi, Mehandi
Haldi Ceremony:
A fun, sun-lit ritual where family and friends apply a turmeric-sandalwood paste to the bride and groom. Between playful dabs, petals, and folk blessings, this colorful ceremony purifies, brings good luck, and gives the couple a natural glow—laughter and traditional tunes setting the mood.
Mehendi Ceremony:
An intimate, all-female gathering where intricate henna designs adorn the bride’s hands and feet. As artists paint floral motifs and love symbols, women sing folk songs, dance, and share stories. The deep crimson stain foretells marital bliss, making this ritual both a beauty treat and a heartfelt celebration of sisterhood.

Matri Pujan & Shubh Vivah
Shubh Vivah is the heart of our wedding—the sacred ceremony where two souls become one under ancient traditions and family blessings. As the baraat arrives, dhol-nagade announce the groom’s entry, and a warm welcome awaits him at the mandap. The bride’s ghoonghat is lifted for the Jaimala, where garlands exchanged signify mutual respect and acceptance.
Next comes the Kanyadaan, when her parents entrust their daughter’s hand to the groom, followed by the Mangalsutra and Sindoor rituals that formally bind them in matrimony. With each of the seven pheras (Saptapadi) around the holy fire, they vow love, loyalty, and shared responsibility. Concluding with blessings from elders and the joyful shower of flower petals, Shubh Vivah is both a spiritual covenant and a jubilant celebration of unity, tradition, and new beginnings.

Vidai
Vidai is the poignant farewell ritual that marks a bride’s departure from her parental home and the beginning of her new life. Dressed in her wedding finery, the bride circles her mother three times, touching her feet as a gesture of gratitude. She then tosses puffed rice over her head—symbolizing prosperity for her family—before stepping into the groom’s waiting vehicle.
As family members wipe away tears, they shower her with blessings and petals. This bittersweet moment blends sorrow and joy: sorrow in parting from her childhood home, and joy in embracing her future with her husband. Vidai honors the deep bonds of family while celebrating the bride’s transition into a new chapter.
