About the hosts
Rajeev & Manisha's story
We first crossed paths at the gym. What started as polite nods between sets and spotting each other on the heavy lifts slowly turned into long conversations by the water fountain. Over time, those brief gym chats evolved into something much deeper. We realized that we didn't just share a passion for fitness; we shared a vision for the future.
After dating for almost a year, we realized that the best part of our day wasn't the workout—it was the person we were doing it with. We’ve decided to trade our gym gear for wedding attire and officially become teammates for life.
We would be absolutely honored to have you by our side as we start this new chapter. You have all played a part in our lives, and we can’t wait to celebrate our "Big Win" with our favorite people.
We’ve put in the work, and now it’s time to celebrate the results! Please join us for a day filled with love, joy, and probably a lot of dancing (our favorite form of cardio).
Day 1Wednesday, March 4, 2026Bhubaneswar
Starting time (approximately): 11:00 AM
Venue and host contact details will be disclosed upon booking.
Haldi
Family and friends take turns applying a golden paste—made of turmeric, sandalwood, and rose water—to the couple’s face, neck, arms, and feet. It is usually a lighthearted, informal event filled with music, traditional songs, and "haldi Holi," where guests often end up smearing the paste on each other. Guests and the couple typically wear yellow to match the theme of prosperity and sunshine.
Bharat
The groom doesn't just show up; he arrives in style! Traditionally, the groom travels to the bride’s venue.
The Procession: The groom is accompanied by his family and friends (the Baraatis). A mobile DJ or a live brass band plays high-energy music.
• The Dancing: This is the highlight! Friends and family dance in front of the groom’s vehicle for the entire journey. It’s a literal party in the street.
• The Milni (The Meeting): Once the Baraat reaches the entrance of the wedding venue, the bride’s family is there to greet them. The fathers, uncles, and brothers of both sides embrace and exchange garlands, symbolizing the two families becoming one.
• The Aarti & Welcome: The bride’s mother usually performs an Aarti (a blessing with a lamp) for the groom and applies a Tilak to his forehead to welcome him into their home/venue
Day 2Sunday, March 8, 2026Bhubaneswar
Starting time (approximately): 7:30 PM
Venue and host contact details will be disclosed upon booking.
Reception party
Unlike the wedding, there are usually no religious fire-side rituals here. It is all about celebration, food, and social time.
• The Grand Couple Entry: This is your "Red Carpet" moment. You both will make a stylish entry—often with music, sparklers, or smoke effects—as the newly married couple.
• The Stage/Photo Op: You’ll spend a good portion of the night on a decorated stage. This is where all the guests come up to congratulate you, give gifts, and take photos.
• Speeches and Toasts: Best friends or family members might give a short, funny, or emotional speech about your journey from "gym buddies" to "soulmates."
• First Dance: You both might share a romantic "First Dance" as husband and wife.
• The Feast: The groom’s side puts out their best spread of food. It’s the ultimate "cheat meal" for everyone involved
• The Dance Floor: Once the formal photos are done, the DJ cranks up the volume, and everyone hits the dance floor for the rest of the night
