Jadeer & Fathima Rida's story
My name is Rida Faaria, and I met my future husband, Jadeer, on a matrimony platform. Initially, I was hesitant to join because I believed in finding love through traditional means. However, after several unsuccessful attempts at finding a suitable partner, I decided to give it a chance.
As I browsed through numerous profiles, Jadeer's caught my attention. His smile, charisma, and shared interests drew me in immediately. We started talking, and it felt like we had known each other for ages. Our conversations were effortless, and we found ourselves talking for hours on end.
After a few months of getting to know each other, we decided to meet in person. Jadeer lived in a stunning coastal area in Calicut, which I was excited to explore with him. As soon as I saw him waiting for me at the café, I knew he was the one.
Our guests were a mix of both local and international who were looking for a unique wedding experience.

Please wear a stunning yellow outfit that symbolizes prosperity and happiness for the haldi ceremony, a pre-wedding ritual in Indian weddings also known as the pithi ceremony. During this auspicious occasion, a paste of turmeric and oil is applied to the bride and groom's skin to purify and beautify them for their special day. The vibrant color of the attire adds to the joyous atmosphere of the haldi ceremony, making it a memorable and colorful event.

Mylanchi Raavu
It is an elaborate pre-wedding ceremony in North Kerala and is very similar to a typical Mehndi function in North India. The day before the Malabar wedding, a Mylanchi expert most commonly known as a Mehndi artist decorates the hands and feet of the bride with elaborate Mehndi designs. Friends and family of the bride sing songs and bless her. Sometimes a traditional dance called Oppana is also performed by them.
