Ganesh & Gopika's story
They say love finds you unexpectedly, and that’s how I met Ganesh.❤️ On our first conversation there was something about his genuine smile, and the way he truly listened made me feel at ease instantly - I was slowly discovering my best friend, and the person I wanted to grow old with. As we prepare to step into this new chapter, my heart is filled with gratitude - for this journey, for all the love that surrounds us, and especially for you — our dear friends and family.
Your presence and your blessings are the most special gift we could ever receive. So, from the bottom of my heart, I invite you to be part of our celebration on 29th June in beautiful Kerala. Come, laugh and dance with us, and create memories that will stay with us forever. And while you’re here, take in the magic of Kerala - from green landscapes, rich traditions, and unforgettable cuisine.
Let our wedding be a reason for you to discover the soul of "God’s Own Country." Join our beginning—love is better when shared.

HALDI
The HALDI ceremony, also referred to as Pithi, is a cherished pre-wedding tradition in Indian culture where a turmeric-based paste is applied to the bride and groom. Typically held on the day of the wedding, this ritual is a symbol of purity and good fortune, with the vibrant yellow hue of turmeric representing positivity and blessings. The event is filled with laughter and joy as close family and friends join in the fun of applying the paste. Turmeric Paste: The mixture used is made from turmeric powder and often blended with ingredients like sandalwood powder, rosewater, and other natural elements. Application: Loved ones, especially female relatives, lovingly smear the paste onto the bride and groom’s skin—mainly on the face, hands, and feet. Ritual Bath: After the HALDI is applied, the bride and groom usually take a ceremonial bath to cleanse their bodies and prepare for the wedding rituals ahead.
The HALDI will took place at June 21 in an open Resort in Poovar.

Traditional Hindu wedding
In a traditional Hindu wedding, the groom’s family is warmly welcomed by the bride’s family upon arrival. After this, the bride and groom take rest to prepare for the main wedding ceremony. The wedding takes place at the auspicious time called the mohoortham, during which the thali charthal (tying of the sacred thread) ceremony is performed. All the guests shower their blessings on the couple at this moment. Following the ceremony, the traditional Kerala feast, sadhya, is served to all the attendees. At the conclusion of the celebrations, the bride leaves her family’s home to enter the groom’s house at a specified time, marking the beginning of their new life together.
