Aakash & BINAL's story
Hello friends from around the world! 🌏💌
We are Binal (a proud Kathiyawadi Gujarati) and Akash (a Bengali from Dhanbad, Jharkhand) – a couple who met in the most magical way… at Paldi Bus Stand in Ahmedabad! 🚌 I was headed to Vapi, he to Vadodara, but destiny put us on the same bus, opposite seats. One chat, an Instagram exchange, and our journey began. 💕
Despite me being 2.6 months older (yes, we counted 😄) and from two different cultures, our love story feels like Two States with more laughter, adventures, and family drama. Now, we’re tying the knot in Dhanbad! 🎉
Join us for joyful Bengali rituals, vibrant ceremonies, music, dance, delicious food, and cultural fun.

Haldi + mehendi
Haldi Ceremony – A joyful pre-wedding ritual where friends & family apply a paste of turmeric, sandalwood & rose water to the bride & groom. It’s full of laughter, music, and playful moments (yes, they’ll try to put haldi everywhere 😄). It’s believed to bring a natural glow, bless the couple, and ward off evil.
🌿 Mehendi Ceremony – A colorful celebration where intricate henna designs are applied to the bride’s hands & feet, often hiding the groom’s name within. Guests can also get small designs while enjoying music, dance, and festive snacks. Mehendi is a symbol of love, joy, and good luck for the marriage ahead.
Day 2Monday, December 15, 2025Dhanbad

wedding
Bengali Wedding Day – A vibrant mix of traditions, colors, and emotions. The day begins with Gaye Holud (turmeric ritual) for blessings and glow, followed by the bride’s grand entrance on a wooden seat (palki) carried by brothers, covering her face with betel leaves until she sees the groom for the first time. ❤️ The couple exchanges playful glances during Shubho Drishti, then the sacred Mala Bodol (garland exchange) seals their union in front of loved ones. The priest conducts Sindoor Daan, where the groom applies vermillion on the bride’s hair parting, marking her as married. 🎶 The air is filled with conch shells, ululation, traditional music, delicious Bengali feasts, and endless joy until the emotional Bidaai (farewell).

Reception
Reception – The grand finale of our wedding celebrations! This evening is all about meeting and greeting extended family, friends, and well-wishers who come to bless our new journey together. The atmosphere is elegant yet joyful, with beautiful décor, live music or DJ, and a lavish multi-cuisine feast featuring Bengali, Gujarati, and popular Indian dishes. 🍽️ Guests mingle, take photos with the couple, and share heartfelt wishes. For us, it’s a chance to relax after all the rituals, enjoy the company of loved ones, and dance into the night as husband and wife. 💕
