MAMERA IN DAY AND BADI BANDOLI IN NIGHT
Mamera is a beautiful and emotional pre-wedding tradition in Rajasthan. It is when the mother's side of the family, especially the mama (maternal uncle), brings gifts and blessings for the bride or groom. The uncle brings items like: Clothes Jewelry Sweets Dry fruits Sometimes even household items or cash This ceremony shows the love and responsibility the mother’s family has for the bride or groom. It’s a big sign of family respect and bonding. Badi Bandoli is a wedding invitation ceremony in Rajasthan. It is when the groom’s family sends formal wedding invitations to relatives and friends, often with sweets or small gifts. The word “Bandoli” refers to the invitation pack. Badi means “big”, so Badi Bandoli is the main or formal round of invitations. Usually, close relatives receive it with a lot of respect and tradition. This ceremony also includes music, dances, and sometimes village processions. It’s one of the many colorful and joyful parts of a Rajasthani wedding.

sath phere (hast milap)
🤝 Hast Milap (Joining of Hands) Hast Milap means "joining of hands" and is one of the main rituals during the wedding ceremony. It usually happens after the bride and groom exchange garlands. The priest ties a sacred thread (often a cloth) around the couple’s hands. This symbolizes their union, not just physically, but also spiritually and emotionally. It means that from this moment, they are one in life’s journey — partners in everything. It is a very sacred and emotional moment in a Hindu wedding.
