Samayik
Samayik is a spiritual Jain ritual focused on self-discipline, meditation, and inner peace. During this event, family members and guests join together in a calm, respectful atmosphere to reflect on non-violence (ahimsa), truth, and simplicity. It involves sitting in silence, chanting Jain prayers, and listening to spiritual discourse. This ceremony sets a peaceful tone before the wedding festivities begin.
Haldi
Haldi is a joyful and colorful pre-wedding ritual where turmeric paste is applied to the bride and groom by their loved ones. This sacred mixture is believed to bless the couple with glowing skin, positivity, and protection from negative energy. The ceremony is filled with laughter, love, and warm family moments, creating beautiful memories before the big day.
Kalash
Kalash is a sacred ritual where a copper or brass pot (Kalash) filled with holy water, mango leaves, and a coconut is installed and worshipped. It marks the beginning of the wedding festivities and invites divine blessings for the couple. Family members chant mantras and perform a small puja (prayer ceremony). The environment is spiritual and joyful, setting the tone for the upcoming celebrations.
Mayra
Mayra is a traditional pre-wedding ceremony celebrated with joy and emotion. In this ritual, the maternal uncle (Mama) of the bride or groom visits with gifts, sweets, clothes, and blessings for the entire family. It symbolizes the love and responsibility of the maternal side of the family. The event is filled with music, traditional songs (especially 'Mayra geet'), dancing, and a festive feast. Aashirvachaan sandhya
Aashirvachaan Sandhya is a peaceful and devotional evening organized by the bride’s family. During this ceremony, elders and respected guests gather to offer heartfelt blessings and good wishes to the bride as she begins a new chapter of life. Traditional prayers, bhajans, and a calm spiritual atmosphere make this evening meaningful and emotional. It is a moment of love, guidance, and bonding within the bride’s family.

Ring ceremony

Baarat swagat
Baarat Swagat is a vibrant and joyful moment where the bride’s family welcomes the groom’s procession (Baarat) with music, dancing, and a grand traditional reception. Phere
In this sacred Jain wedding ritual, the bride and groom take symbolic vows around the pathshala (a holy setup) instead of a fire, as per Jain traditions. Each step signifies a promise of love, trust, and mutual respect. Without the use of agni (fire), this ceremony focuses on spiritual purity, simplicity, and blessings from the elders and the divine. It reflects the peaceful and soulful essence of Jain culture.
