Abhishek & Saloni's story
Every beautiful journey begins somewhere, and theirs started in the most heartwarming way — at a family wedding. He was attending his cousin’s wedding, and she was the bride’s sister. A simple meeting sparked something special. Later, with blessings from both families, her father expressed her wish to settle down. As destiny had it, she was the sister of the groom's bhabhi — the match felt just right. Her rishta was sent, and after warm discussions, both families happily agreed. This is a beautiful example of a traditional arranged marriage, filled with love, respect, and the deep roots of village culture. Pre-wedding festivities began in November, and the engagement and wedding will be joyously celebrated together in February — a vibrant village-style celebration full of colors, customs, and love. Come join us, not just to witness a union, but to be part of a heartfelt new beginning. Your presence will truly mean the world to us.

Tilak
In our traditions, the Tilak ceremony is more than just a ritual — it's a grand celebration marking the formal acceptance of the groom by the bride's family. Held with great joy and respect, the bride’s father and male relatives visit the groom’s home to apply a ceremonial tilak on his forehead. Along with this sacred mark, they bring gifts, sweets, and blessings, symbolizing love, respect, and a warm welcome into the family. It is often considered one of the most important and auspicious pre-wedding events, celebrated with music, traditional food, and heartfelt moments. In our family, the Tilak is no less than a full-fledged festival — a beautiful union of customs, respect, and the beginning of a lifetime bond. This cherished tradition set the tone for the wedding festivities and brought both families even closer.

Haldi
The Haldi ceremony is a joyful and vibrant pre-wedding ritual filled with laughter, color, and blessings. A paste made of turmeric, sandalwood, and rosewater is lovingly applied to the bride and groom by their close family and friends. This sacred mixture is believed to bless the couple, bring a natural glow, and ward off any negativity before the big day. In our tradition, it’s more than just a ritual — it’s a fun-filled celebration with folk songs, teasing, and playful moments shared by everyone. The yellow of Haldi reflects happiness, purity, and the start of a new journey. Surrounded by love, laughter, and vibrant traditions, the Haldi ceremony sets a beautiful tone for the wedding festivities ahead.

Mehandi/many more small rituals
The Mehndi ceremony is one of the most colorful and fun-filled pre-wedding events. The bride’s hands and feet are adorned with intricate henna designs, symbolizing beauty, joy, and good fortune. Family and friends gather for a lively evening full of music, dance, and laughter, as women also apply mehndi and celebrate with traditional songs. Alongside Mehndi, several beautiful rituals add charm to the days leading up to the wedding. These small traditions, though simple, carry deep meaning — invoking blessings, strengthening family bonds, and celebrating love. Each ritual, filled with warmth and excitement, builds up to the grand wedding day, making the entire journey unforgettable.
